What is happening?
- Jacob speaks with much boldness to the people.
- He talks about pride (didn't we see this coming?).
How does this apply to my life?
- Like I said before, I think that I really need to watch my pride. I don't want to think I am better than someone, because I am not. I want to become more like Christ. I want to give my all to those in need.
- Again, I love Jacob. He reminds me of President Holland- speaking with much boldness, but having a powerful message.
Vs. 18-19 "But before ye see for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God. And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good--to cloth the naked, to feed the hungry, to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted."
This really describes Christ in a nutshell. He didn't have much, but all that He had was given. I don't want to be rich. I want to be well off, I have to admit that, but I want to make sure that I am giving of as much as I can to help others as Christ would if He were physically here. I am the hands of Christ.
