What is happening?
- Lamen and Lemual get mad at Nephi.
- Nephi takes his family, Zoram, Sam, Jacob, Joseph, their families, his sisters, and all those who did go with him and left.
- Nephi's people keep the commandments and did prosper exceedingly. The Lord curses the people of Lamen and Lemuel.
How does this apply to my life?
- Was Nephi scared? Were his sisters/wife scared? What did they think to seperate from the other side of the family.
- Would I have enough faith to leave my brothers, no matter how much I hated them?
- How can I be more like the people of Nephi?
Vs. 31 "Wherefore, I, Nephi, to be obedient to the commandments of the Lord, went and made these plates upon which I have engraven these things."
Again, I love that Nephi is obedient. They are able to be successful when they are keeping the commandments. I want to be obedient. I want to have the Lord with me! Always.
