What is happening?
- Nephi sees that Christ will come visit the Nephites.
- He sees the distruction of his people.
- The Gentiles become prideful and create false churches.
How does this apply to my life?
- Can you imagine being Nephi right now? Seeing all this distruction? It would just be completely depressing! He acts all calm about it, but I think I would go crazy if I had to actually see my great great great grandkids killed. It would be horrible.
- These verses sound a lot like our day...interesting...
Vs. 24 "He doeith not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth noe that shall not partake of his salvation."
I love this description of Christ. It just makes me so happy to know that He has our best interest in mind! :)
