What is happening?
- Alma commands his son Helaman to keep the records.
- These records are preserved for a wise purpose.
- Miracles are worked through small means.
How does this apply to my life?
- These records were preserved for me. What am I going to do with them? Am I using them to make all the work worth it?
Vs. 14 "And now remember, my son, that God has entrusted you with these things, which are sacred, which he has kept sacred, and also which he will keep and preserve for a wise purpose in him, that he may show forth his power unto future generations."
I try to imagine Joseph Smith translating this verse. What was he feeling? Was he getting emotional? I think it it were me, I would be just blown out of my mind. It is amazing to know that these records were really preserved for us! It is amazing.
