What is happening?
- Abinadi finishes his words. The King commands that he should be put to dead.
- Alma believes his words and pleads with King Noah to spare him, but then the King wants to kill Alma as well. Alma runs.
- Noah almost releases Abinadi, but his priests insist that he must be put to death.
Vs. 9-10 "Now Abinadi said unto him: I saw unto you, I will not recall the words which I have spoken unto you concerning this people, for they are true; and that ye may know of their surety I have suffered myself that I have fallen into your hands. Yea, and I will suffer even until death, and I will not recall my words, and they shall standa as a testimony againt you. And if ye slay me ye will shed innocent blodd and this shall also stand as a testimony against you at the last day."
I just love this. Do I have this strong of a testimony that I would be willing to look death in the face and ask for it? I hope I would. I hope I will
