What is happening?
- Amlici decides he wants to be king over the people.
- Over half the people vote against having him for their king.
- The people that supported Amlici left the Nephites. They became the Amlicites.
- The two groups fight.
Vs. 6 "And thus they did assemble themselves together to cast their voices concernig the matter; and they were laid before the judges."
Again, I love how the this really is the blessed land. It is a land of freedom. When the people are righteous, the freedom is there. When they are wicked...that is when the freedoms disappear. This scares me. I am scared we are leaning toward the wrong side.
