What is happening?
- Amulon gains favor in the eyes of the king of the Lamanites.
- Amulon doesn't like Alma. He tells them that they will be put to death if they pray.
- The Lord hears their cries and delivers them.
Vs. 5 "And they were a people friendly one with another; nevertheless they knew not God; neither did the breathern of Amulon teach anything concerning the Lord their God, neither the law of Moses; nor did they teach them the words of Abinadi;"
This may seem like a weird verse to like. The reason why I love it is because it shows that not all non-members are bad. They were still friendly, even though they did not know God. We should not assume the worst of our brothers and sisters even though they do not have the Gospel.
